Online Certificate of Good Standing - How to Obtain It

In this video, you will learn how to obtain a free basic online certificate and how to purchase a certificate.

Before you begin, you need an account on portal.onrc.ro. If you don't already have one, you can find instructions on how to create and confirm your account on the right side of our website.

Once you have your account set up, follow these steps to obtain an online certificate of registration:

  1. Log in to your account and go to the "Provide RC Information" section.
  2. Select the option "Issuance of an online certificate." Other available options include providing free RECOM information (similar to what is found on sites like Termene.ro), historical reports, or statistical data.
  3. Complete the applicant's information (your personal account details).
  4. Select whether you want a certificate of registration for a company or an individual. Currently, the option for individuals is unavailable, but it will be activated in the near future.
  5. Enter the unique registration code (CUI) of the company for which you want the certificate. You can request certificates for multiple companies simultaneously.
  6. Select the payment method - electronic wallet ONRC (configurable in account settings) or bank card.
  7. Complete the application and make the payment. You will receive an invoice that you can download immediately - don't forget this step to avoid issues with the tax authority!
  8. Please wait a few minutes for your request to be processed. When it is ready, the certificate will be available in the "My Requests" > "Ccfil" section. If it does not appear, try refreshing the page.
  9. Open the certificate of registration and verify the provided information, such as the company's identification details, registered office address, CAEN codes, authorized persons, etc.

The online certificate obtained from portal.onrc.ro has legal value, as it is electronically signed by ONRC.

Additional information available through the portal includes copies of resolutions, company history, and statistical data. Certificates of incorporation can also be requested in physical format.

I hope this guide has been helpful for obtaining an online certificate from the Trade Register. Don't forget to create your account, have your company's VAT number ready, and a valid payment method. Carefully check the information before finalizing your application. Good luck with your completion!
